JIFSAN works to provide top-quality research and training for food safety, nutrition and production on an international level. JIFSAN conducts courses in countries such as Malaysia and Ecuador, and participants from all over the world travel to JIFSAN’s Maryland location to learn both in the classroom and the laboratories.
JIFSAN started off the new year with a one-week Risk Analysis training program in Malaysia. From January 12-17, Dr. Robert Buchanan and Dr. Clare Narrod presented Risk Analysis for Risk Managers to thirty participants. The participants were from universities, the private sector, and the National and the State Food Safety and Quality Division of the Ministry of Health in Malaysia.
