JIFSAN to pilot 2-Day "Safety/Risk Assessment of Chemicals in Food" course in Fall

This October, JIFSAN will pilot a two-day course on chemical risks in food. Participants can expect to learn about different foodborne chemical hazards and how to conduct safety and risk assessments. Topics to be covered include chemical contaminants, food additives, pesticides, veterinary drugs, and dietary exposure.

The course will run October 28-29 and will be taught by Dr. Michael P. Bolger. Dr. Bolger is a Senior Managing Scientist at Exponent in Washington, DC. He has previously presented half-day lectures on chemical safety/risk assessment to JIFSAN's summer extended fellows.
