JIFSAN conducted a Risk Analysis training in Bogotá, Colombia


Participants created event trees for different food commodities during a classroom exercise.

JIFSAN collaborated with the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service to deliver a risk analysis training at the Colombian Ministry of Health from January 16 to 20, 2017. Drs. Clare Narrod and Robert Buchanan trained 40 people from the Ministry of Health, the National Food and Drug Surveillance Institute (INVIMA), and the National Institute of Health (INS). The trainers focused on how risk assessment is used by the international community to protect human health.
