JIFSAN delivered a FSMA Regulations and Controls training program

JIFSAN delivered a two-week Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Regulations and Controls in the United States training program from May 15 to 26, 2017. The program was funded by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) Cochran Fellowship Program and included twelve fellows from Colombia.

The program helped the Cochran fellows understand the requirements and implementation procedures of FSMA. The training included a 3-day FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food Training, meetings with FDA and other agencies, and visits to the Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market and Port of Philadelphia.
